LexaVox is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your data belongs to you, and we've built our app to reflect that principle.
Data Collection
- On-Device Processing: All OCR, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and AI processing happens locally on your device. Your documents and voice recordings never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share them.
- Optional Cloud Features: If you choose to use cloud storage sync (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox), only the files you explicitly select are uploaded to your personal cloud account.
- Analytics: We collect minimal, anonymized usage statistics to improve the app (e.g., feature usage counts, crash reports). No personal content is ever included.
- Tip Feedback: If you rate tips in the app, we record your vote (tied to your account) and show only aggregated totals.
- Authentication: If you sign in for cloud features, we only access the minimum permissions required for file storage.
Data We Don't Collect
- Your documents, photos, or scanned text
- Your voice recordings or transcriptions
- Your location data
- Your contacts or personal information
- Your browsing history or app usage outside LexaVox
Third-Party Services
LexaVox integrates with the following services only when you choose to enable them:
- Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox: For optional cloud backup of your documents
- Google AdMob: For displaying ads in the free version (see our ad policy below)
- RevenueCat: For managing Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases
- Firebase: For app analytics and crash reporting (anonymized)
Advertising
The free version of LexaVox displays ads through Google AdMob. While AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization, LexaVox itself does not share any of your personal content with advertisers. You can upgrade to Premium to remove all ads.
Children's Privacy
LexaVox is rated for ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Data Security
All data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's security features. For cloud-synced files, we rely on the security measures of your chosen cloud provider (Google, Microsoft, Dropbox).
Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time
- Delete: You can delete your data from the app settings or by uninstalling the app
- Export: You can export your documents to PDF, DOCX, or TXT at any time
- Opt-Out: You can disable analytics in the app settings
