Product questions

Frequently asked questions about the current app.

These answers are aligned to the present LexaVox workflow rather than the older broader roadmap.

FAQ

What people usually want to know first.

LexaVox is currently centered on Android reading, add-content workflows, playback, translation, and offline-first utility.

Getting started

What can I add to LexaVox today?

You can currently add content by scanning a page with OCR, importing documents (PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and RTF), or dictating speech into a saved document. You can also download public-domain books from the in-app catalog.

Offline use

Does LexaVox still work without internet?

Yes. Local reading, saved documents, system-voice playback, and offline translation packs are core to the current experience. Network-dependent features are used as optional enhancements rather than the default path.

Import support

Which file types are supported in the current Add flow?

The Add screen currently supports PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and RTF imports, plus camera OCR and dictation. All successful inputs flow through the same reader surface for playback, translation, and export.

Reader

Can I listen and translate in the same place?

Yes. The current reader combines playback controls, speed and voice options, translation mode switching, reading-size changes, and export actions in one screen.

Export

Can I export what I am reading?

Yes. The reader includes export options for original and translated content, with formats such as JSON, TXT, Markdown, and PDF.

Languages

How does translation work right now?

LexaVox supports both offline and cloud translation paths from inside the reader. Offline language packs are managed in settings, while cloud translation is available when you want broader language coverage or a connected workflow.

Platform

Which platform is the current product built for?

The current shipping focus is Android. The archived website includes a desktop page because that direction is still being explored, but the mobile app is the primary product surface today.

Pricing

Are the plans finalized?

The product currently has a free core experience plus Pro and Offline Pack purchase scaffolding. Public storefront pricing and packaging can vary by region and release timing, so check the app or contact us for the latest launch details.

Support

How do I send feedback or report a bug?

You can use the feedback link in the app settings or email support@lexavox.com. Accessibility notes and real-world reading friction are especially helpful.
