Privacy & Security
Is my data private?
By default, all processing happens on your device. When you choose cloud features (enhanced OCR, cloud STT, AI summarization, Google Translate), data is uploaded to our servers for processing and immediately deleted. You can also sync to your personal cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox).
Do you collect my documents or transcriptions?
No. We never collect, store, or access your content. Your data belongs to you.
What analytics do you collect?
We collect minimal, anonymized usage statistics (like feature usage counts and crash reports) to improve the app. No personal content is ever included. You can opt out in settings.
Is LexaVox COPPA compliant?
Yes. LexaVox is rated for ages 13 and up and does not collect personal information from children.
Features
How accurate is the document scanning?
Our text recognition uses ML Kit for on-device processing with good accuracy. For enhanced accuracy, you can optionally use cloud processing (Google Cloud Vision). Results vary based on image quality, but you can edit any recognized text before saving.
How many languages are supported?
LexaVox supports 100+ languages for OCR and translation, and 50+ languages for speech recognition and text-to-speech.
Can I use my own cloud storage?
Yes! LexaVox integrates with Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. You control what gets synced and where.
What file formats can I export to?
You can export your documents to PDF, Markdown (.md), and TXT formats, and share directly to other apps. Markdown is the default format.
Does the AI refinement work offline?
No. All AI refinement features use cloud processing with Google Gemini. This requires uploading your text to our servers with your consent.
